I managed to blog my way through December…

Posted by: zipperheadsquared on: January 7, 2010

And per the nagging request of Miss. Heel Clicker, I decided I’d come on here and make a little post.  About what you ask?  I’m still not quite too sure.  However, if it’ll make Miss. Heel Clicker happy, I suppose I could try!

This morning, as I was lounging around the house, chugging sipping some delicious hot chocolate, I was listening to the Kidd Kraddick in the Morning show on the radio.  Today’s guest was Rob Thomas, of Matchbox Twenty.

While being interviewed, Rob was speaking about the song “Her Diamonds,” which is a song he wrote for his wife, who suffers from lupus erythematosus.  He went on to explain that his wife has good days and bad days, and each day with her is unpredictable, health wise.  Her journey sounded so much like mine, with the Chiari.  Every day, is a new journey, and I never know how I’m going to feel.

He went on to sing “Lonely No More” acoustically, and he gave me chills.

He then took a phone call from a 27 year old woman, who informed Rob that she has battled 3 different types of cancer in her life and Rob Thomas’ music is such an inspiration to her to keep fighting.  It really touched me.

Rob began to play “Her Diamonds” and I began to sob like a baby!  By the time he had finished singing the song, I had already purchased the song on iTunes, and onto my iPod Touch!

Now, if only I could find a man like him to write me the best love song, ever, my life would be complete!

Lovely entry, Miss Zipperhead! I must now go find this song and give it a listen. I had no idea his wife has Lupus! :( I’ve been tested on a yearly basis for ages. Oye. The journey’s we’re all set upon! At least we can know we’re never alone. *sigh* If you find a man who will write you love songs, set him up on a mandate with Boyfriend and have him teach him a thing or two. I always thought I’d end up with a lyricist. lol funny how things turn out! xx
